Deep cycle construction is what a mobility battery needs: it is built to be run down and recharged day after day, which is the pattern a daily driver puts a battery through. Gel type sealed cells mean no topping up and no free acid, so the battery can be handled and transported without the spill risk of a wet cell.
Batteries are the usual reason a chair stops going the distance it used to. If your client has noticed the range dropping off or the chair cutting out on hills, a replacement pair is the first thing to look at.
