Kyphosis is the problem this back support was designed around. The shell is built in three sections that hinge against each other, so the back is shaped to follow the spine your client already has.
Who it suits
People with a fixed or partly correctable thoracic curve, and anyone whose spinous processes take pressure against a flat back. The middle section carries recessed off-loading channels so the bony prominences sit in space, clear of the shell. The bottom plate adjusts on its own to set pelvic support independently of what is happening higher up.
For the clinician it means the fitting can be done on the chair with the client in it, and revisited as posture changes. The gel infused visco cushion and the stretch cover help with heat and shear for someone sitting long days. Mounting hooks expand outwards, which gives some latitude when the chair is wider than the shell.
