Who it suits
Clients whose backs have settled into an asymmetrical shape: a fixed scoliosis, a rotated trunk, a rib flare on one side. The STX is built for those presentations, where the support has to make contact across an irregular shape so the client is not left taking their weight on one or two points.
The STX holds a set of positioning pillows behind a stretch outer cover. The pillows are filled with visco-elastic cluster packs that mould to the body, and they can be layered and arranged in any orientation the therapist chooses. That means the support can be built up behind a hollow and relieved behind a prominence, on the day, with the client sitting in the chair.
The outer cover is breathable and stretches over whatever arrangement is inside, so the surface stays smooth against the client. The set-up can be revisited as a posture changes.
