Ergonomic handles for the Grillo gait trainer, for a client who can take some weight through the upper limbs but needs the grip position set exactly right before they will use it. The handles adjust for height, angle, rotation and the distance between them, so you can bring the hands into a position the client can hold without hitching a shoulder or pulling into flexion.
Getting the hand position right usually settles the trunk as well, which is why these are often the first thing changed when a step pattern looks laboured. They can be ordered with joints for finer angle control, or without joints for the anterior frame where a simpler fixed set works better.
Changes are made without tools coming off the frame, so a therapist can test two positions in one session and the family can keep the setting once it is agreed.
