The powered version of the Ella base drives the tilt on an electric actuator, so the client is brought from near horizontal up to standing at the press of a control. Where a carer is working alone, or where the client is at the heavier end of the size range, that takes the effort out of the part of the session most likely to be skipped.
It handles supine and prone standing in the same frame, with the changeover taking a couple of minutes. Angle can be trimmed during the session, which is useful when a client is building tolerance and you want to back off a few degrees without ending the stand.
Knee blocks, laterals, shoulder pads, foot supports, belts and trays all mount to the frame, and the upholstery is removable and washable. Four sizes cover early childhood through to adolescence, so a client can stay in the same system for years.
