Who it suits
This is the wheeled base of the Rifton Pacer, in the standard configuration with an odometer fitted. The base carries the upper frame and the client, and sets how the frame rolls, turns and stops.
The odometer counts distance travelled, which turns a walking programme into something you can actually measure. Distance recorded across a week gives a therapist evidence of progress for a report, gives a support coordinator something concrete for a plan review, and gives the client and their family a number that moves. That is often what keeps a gait programme going when the day to day change is small.
The standard base suits indoor use on smooth floors, so it works well in a school, a clinic or a home. It comes in five sizes to match the upper frame.
