Getting a heavy or painful leg onto a bed, a footplate or a footstool is a moment where a lot of people either strain themselves or call for help. The Leg-Up gives them a way to do it on their own.
It is a rigid lifter, so it holds its shape when you hold the handle and hook the loop over the foot, and the leg goes where you aim it without the strap folding halfway. The handle is padded for comfort against the hand, and the foot loop is wide enough to go over a plaster cast or a moon boot.
It suits clients with limited hip or knee movement, back pain, recent joint replacement, lower limb fracture, or anyone who cannot bend to reach the foot. It works getting into bed, into a car, into a bath and onto wheelchair footrests.
