The proximal abductor sits high between the thighs on a Grillo and keeps the legs apart at the hips. It suits clients with adductor tone who bring the knees together as soon as they start to step, where the correction needs to happen close to the hip, not down at the knees.
It is padded and opens for transfers, so getting a client in and out of the frame does not become a two person job. Once closed it holds position through the walk.
Three sizes cover the small, medium and large frames.
