Some clients slide forward and rotate in the seat as soon as they relax, so the pelvis ends up turned and the trunk follows it. The anti rotational belt for the Starfish Pro is a four point belt shaped to hold the pelvis square in the seat while the person is showered or toileted.
Holding the pelvis is what makes the rest of the setup work. With the pelvis stable, the back support, laterals and headrest can do their job, the person stays upright long enough for a proper wash, and the carer has both hands free.
The belt is padded, comes in two sizes and is made for wet use, so it goes in and out of the shower with the chair. It is ordered to match the buckle type already on the chair.
