Direction locks fit to the front wheels of a Marcy anterior walker and hold them straight. They suit a child who cannot yet keep the frame on a line, where the walker swings off course with every step and the walking practice turns into steering practice.
With the locks in, the frame tracks forward and the child can put their attention on the step itself. It is a useful stage in a gait program: lock the wheels while the pattern is being learned, then release them when the child is ready to handle turns and corners on their own.
They can be engaged and released as needed, so one walker works for both stages, and they are supplied in sizes to match the frame.
